Volkswagen introduced yesterday the latest generation of its iconic EuroVan, with a sleek and modern design and impressive features that will have any Volkswagen Microbus enthusiast buzzing. The all-new Volkswagen ID. Buzz is expected to arrive on the market sometime next year, and yes, it will be coming to the North American market.

Volkswagen is essentially going to be the first automaker to offer an electric minivan to North America. That said, this isn’t just any minivan. This is the modern and fully electric generation of one of the legendary models of the automotive industry. The new Volkswagen ID. Buzz will come in 2024 on the market here, and it will be offered with both rear-wheel drive and AWD configurations like the new Volkswagen ID.4. The ID. Buzz and ID.4 will share many components, and both are built on the same platform.

It will feature two row and three row configurations when it goes on sale and it is built on the MTP Volkswagen platform which was designed specifically for electric vehicles. That means that all-wheel drive will be offered, and powers should come from an 82-kWh battery pack.

This will translate into over 500 km of range in the most efficient versions of the Volkswagen ID. Buzz. The model should also offer over 200 hp and 229 pound-feet of torque. The performance will definitely be impressive as will the cargo capacity and the versatility. The new Volkswagen ID. Buzz is expected to offer over 1,100 litres of total cargo space.
