The Enhanced 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Family: Updated Trims, Pricing, and Standard Features

Volkswagen's Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport lineup for 2024 boasts enhanced features, improved powertrain and a more refined interior. These refreshed models keep the successful underpinnings of their predecessors but offer a major interior upgrade. Premium materials, including a leatherette-trimmed soft-touch dash and a center console, have been adopted throughout. The cockpit-inspired design featuring seamless door trim and dash panel flows elevate the upscale ambiance. Additionally, top-of-range models boast quilted leather seats with a diamond stitch pattern.

The newly introduced Atlas Peak Edition provides a unique touch to the lineup. Priced at $53,995 MSRP, it includes unique interior and exterior details such as body cladding elements, unique wheels, all-terrain tires, black-out exterior details and signature interior design.

The Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport will be powered by a four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. This new engine provides similar power to the outgoing VR6, but with improved drivability and acceleration due to an expanded torque rev range. Coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system, the Atlas family is set to deliver enhanced performance.

The base Atlas Comfortline starts at $49,995 MSRP, with several standard features, including LED headlights and taillights, a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a 10.25-inch Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro, and more. The priciest in the lineup, the Atlas Execline R-Line, comes in at $59,995 MSRP, boasting 21” machined-finish alloy wheels, a ParkAssist, Area View 360° camera system, and a Head-Up Display (HUD).

The Atlas Cross Sport lineup starts at an MSRP of $48,895 for the Comfortline trim, with the top-of-the-range Execline R-Line priced at $58,895 MSRP. Similar to their Atlas counterparts, these models differ primarily by the omission of the third row and associated functions.

All models across both lineups come with improved comfort features. A heated steering wheel with shift paddles, ventilated front seats and a height-adjustable passenger seat are now standard, paired with a redesigned center console and three-zone Climatronic automatic climate control.

These refreshed Volkswagen models are expected to hit Canadian dealers in Q3 of 2023, enhancing the SUV options for discerning drivers. With the added features and refined design elements, the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas family promises a blend of comfort, power, and versatility.
