Volkswagen is turning heads with its 2024 Atlas lineup, offering a significant interior revamp, a fresh trim level, and standard high-end comfort features. Noteworthy is the starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the new Atlas, which stands at $49,995.
The 2024 model ushers in an all-new standard 2.0-litre turbo powertrain, replacing the former four-cylinder and VR6 options. The Atlas family will be powered solely by this turbocharged, direct-injection TSI engine, boasting 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Not only does it offer improved performance and fuel economy, but it also provides a broader rev range for enhanced drivability and acceleration. Volkswagen's standard 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission come with every model in the lineup.
The Atlas Comfortline kicks off the lineup, packed with premium features, including 18-inch machined aluminum-alloy wheels, a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and a towing package rated for up to 5,000 lbs. Comfort and convenience are enhanced with a heated multifunction steering wheel, ventilated front seating, and a redesigned centre console that includes a storage cubby. Notably, the IQ.DRIVE package, Volkswagen’s suite of driver assistance features, is now standard on all trims.
The Atlas Peak Edition, starting at an MSRP of $53,995, is a rugged addition to the 2024 Atlas lineup. This model presents unique interior and exterior details, including body cladding elements, all-terrain tires, black-out exterior details, and a signature interior design. Exclusive features include 18-inch black alloy wheels, 30-colour ambient lighting, and unique Peak Edition badging.
Building on the Peak Edition, the Atlas Highline starts at an MSRP of $56,995, and features luxuries like a Harman Kardon Premium Audio System, a panoramic sunroof, and leather seat trim. Other perks include heated outer second-row seats and a dynamic LED lighting system.
Topping the lineup is the Atlas Execline R-Line, with an MSRP of $59,995. Its special features encompass a sleek R-Line design package, 21” machined-finish alloy wheels, and a head-up display.
All four trims are set to hit Canadian dealers in Q3 of 2023, bringing an infusion of elegance, power, and innovation to the Volkswagen lineup.
