The features
The 2022 Volkswagen Taos comes standard with a host of features that are engineered to make you comfortable and entertained on every drive. Some of these features are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the keyless access system with push button start, a 6.5-inch touch screen infotainment system, the 8-inch Digital Cockpit instrument cluster and heated front seats. If you want more luxury in your Taos, many available features are offered to help it be ideal for your needs. For example, the leather upholstery, the ventilated front seats, the heated steering wheel, the ambient accent lighting, the dual-zone automatic climate control, the 8-inch infotainment system, the remote start system, the Beats audio premium sound system and the Travel Assist driver assistance package are all available.
The powertrain
The 2022 Volkswagen Taos is powered by a new and very efficient engine that allows it dynamic performances and a remarkable fuel economy. The 1.5L TSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, which gives the Taos plenty of acceleration power to effortlessly keep up with city traffic and to allow you some fun on twisty backroads. Two transmissions are offered, either an 8-speed automatic unit that is hooked up to the front wheels, or a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission which is paired with the 4Motion all-wheel drive system. This system adds to the Taos’ capabilities and safety by allowing you to drive through mud and deep snow where other vehicles risk getting stuck and by making driving on ice and snow easier due to an increased stability. This gives you more confidence to hit the road under any circumstances and it helps you get where you want to go, no matter what surprises the weather has in store.
