Three Reasons to Consider a 2022 Volkswagen Jetta

The 2022 Volkswagen Jetta is the latest version of the popular compact sedan and it benefits from a number of changes this year which make it more attractive than ever.

A new engine

The 2022 Volkswagen Jetta is powered by a totally new 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, an improvement of 11 horsepower compared to the 1.4L engine that was used in the 2021 model. This engine is not only more powerful, it is also more fuel efficient, with fuel consumption figures dropping to 7.7L / 100 km in the city and 5.7L / 100 km on the highway from 8.0L and 6.0L respectively in the 2021 Jetta. This engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission for maximum enjoyment or an 8-speed automatic for maximum convenience and efficiency.

A refreshed style

The 2022 Volkswagen Jetta benefits from a new style that modernises the appearance of this model and makes it look fresh. This is achieved with the use of a new bumper and grille design that create a more distinctive and elegant look than the previous model and most of the competition. At the rear, a new bumper and a revised version of the LED taillamps complete the new look of the Jetta. Inside, the Digital Cockpit instrument cluster screen is now standard and the latest version of the MIB infotainment system is included.

The IQ.Drive system

Standard on every 2022 Volkswagen Jetta equipped with the automatic transmission, the IQ.Drive system includes a number of advanced driver assistance features such as the Front Assist, a system that helps prevent and mitigate forward collisions with other cars and pedestrians by braking automatically when its camera and sensors detect an obstacle, as well as the Lane Assist, which helps keep the Jetta in its own lane by monitoring the road markings and gently steering toward the middle of the lane when drifting is detected.
