More Details About the 2022 Volkswagen Jetta

The 2022 Volkswagen Jetta is the latest version of the beloved compact sedan that delivers practicality, comfort and a good dose of driving enjoyment.

The features

The redesigned 2022 Volkswagen Jetta is equipped with all of the features you want in your next vehicle, including a complete suite of advanced safety features. For example, the forward collision warning with automatic braking is standard, as well as the pedestrian detection system and the cruise control. On the inside, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the 6.5-inch display, the 8.0-inch Digital Cockpit instrument cluster, the heated front seats and the heated steering wheel are all standard. If you want to add even more luxury to your Jetta, a long list of available features is offered to you. For example, the leather upholstery, the ambient lighting, the dual-zone automatic climate control, the ventilated front seats, the heated rear seats, the rain sensing wipers, the power sunroof, the 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and the 10.25-inch configurable Digital Cockpit Pro instrument panel are all available as options or part of the standard equipment of a higher trim level.

The powertrain

The 2022 Volkswagen Jetta is equipped with a brand-new engine that was introduced in the recently launched Taos. This new 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque to the wheels via your choice of an engaging 6-speed manual transmission or an efficient 8-speed automatic transmission. This torque figure is the highest of any vehicle in the Jetta’s market segment, meaning that it feels more dynamic and responsive around town than its competitors. Efficiency is the keyword in the case of this new powertrain, since it is more powerful than the previous 1.4L engine that powered the last generation of the Jetta and it requires less fuel than the older unit due to many improvements including the Miller Cycle which closes the intake valves later than normal to make it more efficient.
